Music venues play an crucial role in shaping the atmosphere of live events, and creating safer spaces for all visitors is an essential part of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. To explore how venues are addressing this, Liveurope spoke with three venues—Nova Cvernovka (Slovakia), Sveta (Estonia), and Sala Apolo (Spain)—to understand the steps they’ve taken to ensure safety, inclusivity, and respect. From anti-discrimination policies to programming that prioritises marginalised communities, these venues are leading the way in creating spaces where everyone can enjoy live music without fear of violence or exclusion.
